Understand The Rankings
Last updated 15.8.2026
Understand my scale, how i rate.
i will keep improving the details of my rating, you can always find here.
99p - 100p
House style is as clear as it can be and present throughout the whole range of cuvées.
Cuvées are launched when they are ready to be enjoyed.
Several of their cuvées can benefit from ageing to reach 99-100p range, consistently.
There is nothing to improve, just maintain. You can't copy to belong you need to invent.
95p - 98p
Just a drop down from the above where some of the criteria is not at the highest possible level.
Some houses are going up, some down as others just maintain.
most important is the potential of the cuvées reaching consistently high scores
and being launched when they are ready to be enjoyed.
90p - 94p
This is the sweet spot several houses produce amazing enjoyable consistent cuvées
year after year. But inconsistencies with their cuvées and winemaking, not being able to produce the highest level of cuvées.
85p - 89p
The house is lost, hopefully finding their way.
Quality of the range of the cuvées is mediocre at best altho some might stand out positively.
Still please remember drinking 88p wine is a delight to drink.
80p - 84p
Below mediocre quality, no individual style.
my rankings can be quoted on the Internet when in the form shown below and a link to this page is provided.
